Night
CHELMSFORD MASS NEWS: Bob
Joyce/Staff Reporter- Friday August 27, 2010
The Chelmsford Police,
(PAL)Police
Athletic League held its annual outdoor movie night at
McCarthy Middle School fields Thursday Night August 26th.
Despite rainstorms earlier in the week, the weather was
perfect for the event and even the mosquitos decided not
to participate.
Featured attraction for this year was "Kung Fu Panda"
which was projected onto a giant 2-story screen. The
screen, projector and sound system were assembled by
Performance Platforms of Hudson.
Parents and their children were treated to free
refreshments which included Hot Dogs, popcorn, ice cream
and soft drinks. Free glow bands were given out by local UPS
employees who also brought their NASCAR
delivery truck complete with flames going down the side of
the truck.
CPAL Movie Night is supported in part by a grant from the
Chelmsford Cultural Council, a local agency which is
supported by the
Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.
Special thanks also go out to local sponsors:
The Meat House,
Starbucks, Christopher's Towing,
Coca-Cola, and
Trinity Ambulance. |
