The Chelmsford Police Athletic
Street Hockey League is designed to promote a great deal of positive interaction between Police Officers and kids.
The main
mission of CPAL is to provide opportunities for boys and girls
to participate in activities that they may not normally do. The Street Hockey League has seen all kinds of players
who come out to not only play hockey, but to also have fun and socialize in a safe and
well-supervised environment.
The
Officers who participate in the Street Hockey League volunteer
their time in order to be strong roll models for the kids. Their goals are to foster a trusting relationship
between themselves and the kids they interact with. In seeing a number of these kids grow up, it has been
clear that opportunities like the Street Hockey League have
accomplished these goals. |
